Astronomy is a highly visual subject, and there are many beautiful images from a variety of sources. Here are some nice examples, many of which are copyright free, and so can be used in educational projects, student work etc.

Please acknowledge the source of any images if you use them, and contact the author of the relevant sites if you are unsure whether your use of their images needs permission (i.e. if it is not just for a school project).
